Through the fence posts: a sweet idea

Hello everyone!

Just before Christmas I was wandering through a neighbourhood with big beautiful old homes.  The sort where it’s very unlikely to find vegetables growing in the very manicured front gardens. But I came across something even better. A house that was just as grand as the others but with a jungle for its front garden and a sign on its mail box….

Fine print: Temporarily out of supplies.  Try early Jan.

Hmmm, I know what I’ll be doing in early January!

Wishing you all a Happy New Year and a wonderful 2011.  We will be celebrating in true food-Bee style de-wilting after a scorching 38 ºC day (that’s about 100 F) with a picnic full of goodies,  chilled wine and some fireworks viewing.   I hope you have something fine planned too and that you are safe  if you are in one of the many places that seem to be having crazy weather at the moment.

Thanks Kristina! Unfortunately for the blog but fortunately for me, I was having too much fun and forgot to take my camera out until it was too dark
